Thermofixx230 is our thermally modified timber using locally grown radiata pine. Heated to 230 degrees Celsius, cell wall structures are modified - all resins, sugars and starches are extracted out and residual moisture evaporates. The timber becomes more resistant to rot and decay and with increased durability and stability. Thermofixx230 must be coated with stain/oil or paint and is only available with a Bandsawn Face.
